Let's All Play is a new movement to help local sporting clubs to encourage kids with intellectual disability (aged 6-13 years) to join their club.

Let's All Play was born from the vision of Self Advocacy Sydney, a leading organisation dedicated to empowering individuals with disabilities.

Recognising the barriers faced by children with intellectual disabilities in accessing sports, Self Advocacy Sydney launched Let's All Play in 2024 so that kids with intellectual disability have the same opportunity as anyone else to play sport.

Let’s All Play is designed to work with local sporting clubs across West and South West Sydney, providing tools, training and resources to create a supportive and fun environment where every child can participate and thrive in sports, regardless of ability.

The heart of Let's All Play lies in its commitment to breaking down barriers and fostering inclusion. With the full backing of Self Advocacy Sydney, the program offers "Coach the Coach" resources, best-practice governance and educational campaigns to help clubs welcome children with intellectual disabilities into their sporting communities. By partnering with clubs from all types of sports, Let's All Play is helping build a future where every child has the chance to play, belong, and succeed.

A WORD FROM OUR CEO

A Place for Everyone

As CEO of Self Advocacy Sydney, I am honored to announce the launch of Let’s All Play, a groundbreaking initiative aimed at empowering grassroots sports clubs in Western and South Western Sydney. This program, fully funded by the Commonwealth Department of Social Services, provides free support to create inclusive environments for children aged 6 to 13 with intellectual disabilities. Our goal is to help every child, regardless of ability, experience the transformative power of sports. Together, we will build communities where every child can thrive, belong, and play as part of a team.
