Let's All Play

How it Works

Your club's Board or management commitee is interested in joining the Let’s All Play movement of including children with a disability in your teams. This is the biggest step you can make. We are here to walk you through what you need to do next.

CONTACT
It’s as easy as contacting us- your Let’s All Play specialists.  We will make a time to meet with you and the team to talk you through the steps and the support we will provide you.

ASSISTANCE

Together with you, we will provide assistance with planning to ensure the inclusion of people with intellectual disability in your club is a positive experience for everyone. 

 

This will include:

  • Meet with your Clubs Board and/or Management Committee 

  • Help to train everyone in the inclusion of people with intellectual disability- such as club officials, coaches and other volunteers.

  • Help you to find and engage new players with intellectual disability

  • Help you to know how Let's All Play is working in your club- we have processes to measure your success that we are happy to support you to use. These results are useful for your board and your local community.

  • Helping you to have policies and procedures that cover all things related to the inclusion of young players with intellectual disability.  This will give you clear guidance and minimise any risk.

  • Provide team management and coaching support on how to beast coach players with intellectual disability.

INCLUSIONS

Coaching sports for children with a disability often requires a different or complimentary approach to your current methods.  Let's All Play will provide guidance in this area to coach your coaches. 

 

Just some of what we can provide includes:

  • General tips on the best ways to coach children with a disability

  • Involving the player's family and support networks

  • The best way to communicate, such as using easy-read documents.

  • Safety for children with intellectual disability

  • How to include players with intellectual disability in your club, including relationships with other young players

  • How to develop teamwork and social skills of players with intellectual disability
